Trial & Error

Trial & Error, Ariadne's Thread or Bifurcation is a low tech Solving Technique, which is related to guessing.

1. Try a move by placing a digit in an eunsolved cell.
2. Process the implications by eliminating conflicting candidates, placing singles
3. If a cell has no candidates left, or a digit has no candidate in a house, remove the placement and undo the implications, then remove the candidate which was placed. This is called backtracking.
4. Continue until the puzzle is solved.
