In sudoku puzzles called Consecutive Puzzles, there are some marks on the border between the cells, indicating that the two cells have consecutive digits.
The two cells do not contain consecutive digits if there is no mark between them.
Non-Consecutive puzzles may be seen as a special type of consecutive puzzles, where there are no marks on the borders at all.
