Sudoku Assistenten is one of the most popular downloadable free Sudoku Programs. Its easy-to-use interface allows sudokus of all levels of difficulty to be input or generated, solved and explained. The visual display is clean and simple, and the "analytical mode" is also very easy to use. Solving techniques implemented in this program are fairly basic, the most complex being the fundamental Fish patterns and XY-Wing, but are sufficient to solve medium-level puzzles and some harder puzzles.
