Jump to navigationJump to searchA Sudoku puzzle is symmetrically minimal when removing any of its givens results in a puzzle that has multiple solutions or which has lost its symmetry.
A symmetrically minimal puzzle does not have to be locally minimal. It often is not, because the symmetry often introduces redundant givens.
